I enjoyed reading about Geraldine after seeing her in the first two books. This book had quite a bit of adventure and suspense. I didn't like it quite as much as the first two books in the series, though. It seems like she should have gotten in more trouble for some of the things she did! I enjoyed the updates on William and Juliette, and would enjoy a story on Charles and Amanda!
The Surprise Ends Up Being On Herself
While reading this book, I was captivated throughout the entire read. Meeting someone by accident, then finding out the next night that he is the new hire of her brothers. She enjoys being with this man and before you know it she is no longer single. Desperately lonely much of the time while her new husband goes out to sea as the Captain of one of her brother's vessels. Planning to surprise him she find out the surprise is on herself as her new husband is livid. Now there is a rift between them kidnapped by the dangerous pirates invading their ship. Wish I could tell what happens next, but you need to read this for yourself. It would be like getting the score to the game before you get to watch the game for yourself.
I enjoyed reading ‘A Captain’s Lady.’ The storyline is fresh and captivating, and the dialogue is witty with lots of laugh out loud moments. Geraldine’s saucy nature gets her into one scrape after another, and Jonathan never fails to save her and spank her soundly. A good read.
I loved the first two books and it was nice meeting characters from earlier books and now new ones. This one is about the courtship of Jonathan and Geraldine and then the marriage. The fast paced action has adventure, Pirates, kidnapping, sailing on the high seas, lots of spanking and sex, romance and love. I would love to read another, perhaps about Jonathan's mother and Geraldine's father, hint, hint.
Although I did enjoy this tale of Captain Jonathan and his Geraldine, I found the tale raced ahead too quickly and I felt the tale lacked character development. However, if you want steamy sex and spankings with pirate attacks and kidnappings this one is for you!
I read and loved the first two books in this series based on William and Juliette. I was so excited to see another one, with new characters!! I just love Geraldine who is William's sister. She is just as mischievous as Juliette, and her relationship with Jonathan starts out with a bang! Then, she finds out that he is William's new Captain!! The book just takes off form there: spankings, marriage, seafaring adventures with a stowaway, more spankings and lots of hot, naughty sex! Loved this book!
Although this book will never be one of my favorites I did enjoy reading it. This book builds the relationship between Geraldine and Jonathan and seemed to occur very quickly. I feel like the author was trying to cover so much territory in this story, she did not take the time to actually develop the characters to any extent. I prefer stories that have very developed and complex main and supporting characters which is why I did not rate this book a 5. This book did entertain me and there was instances of domestic discipline and punishments which I liked. I have read the previous two stories within this series and I will continue to read future installments as I do enjoy the circumstances in which the couples find themselves.
This book had me from chapter one! Geraldine meets Jonathan on a dock without a chaperone and he threatens to spank her. Then she meets him the next night at a birthday party for her brother and finds out Jonathan is the new business partner of her father's and brother's. They marry months later and her she has a hard time doing what her husband tells her to do! There are spankings, adventures on the high seas, kidnapping and much more! 5 stars
