Jenna found adjusting to married life excruciatingly painful, especially when her new husband did not believe her that their elderly neighbor was deliberately goading her and doing her very best to make her look bad in her husband’s eyes!

Will cannot believe that his wife, usually so reasonable, would accuse an eighty-five year old woman of deliberately trying to cause trouble in their marriage!  Mrs. Pratt had been his neighbor for years and the fact he needed to defend her from his own wife was embarrassing.  He decides it is time to stop threatening to spank his lovely wife, and that it's time to actually do it, much to Jenna’s disbelief!

Of course, Jenna can’t help but compare herself to her husband’s first wife and find herself lacking, and she wonders if she will ever be able to make her marriage work, especially when Mrs. Pratt continues to wreak havoc in her marriage… and Will continues to punish Jenna for being upset and angry with the woman!

Good read! I liked the plot between Jenna, Will and Ms. Pratt. Jenna is tough, even in the face of the judge, her husband. I would definitely read a sequel.

Will is a true idiot. He had no trust in Jenna. He went into court defending the woman who was harassing her. He punished her for trying to maintain professional confidences, forcing her to betray her oath. He demands unquestioning loyalty but offers nothing in return...not even appreciation. He never learns from his mistakes. I was disappointed that Jenna let him go along in this pattern with no consequences. Even when she leaves him, he punishes her and she allows it. I think I'm done with this author. She seems to truly hate women.

A really really great book. The heroine is a strong, well educated woman who's middle aged instead of young and that was a pleasant change, and the spankings were really great as was the dymanic between the couple in that he made mistakes and they were just learning their relationship. It was one of the best books ever.

I really liked the beginning of this story, but it got a little to much for me , he went from doing nothing to being to strict

This story had a lot of potential, two intelligent modern people living in a domestic discipline marriage. I really wanted to like it, but unfortunately I found the husband to be overbearing and ridiculous, and I never felt he redeemed himself with a heartfelt apology when he was wrong. The majority of the spankings were a result of his not listening, or believing his wife. This is well written, and I will certainly give this author another try, but the husband in the story made it impossible for me to give it a higher rating.

This was a fun read about a couple learning to be married to each other. Both are strong, independent professionals one who is a widower and one who had not been married before. Good dynamic.

I have enjoyed every book I have read by Amity Maree. This was a fun story about an almost middle aged couple, she being married for the first time and he a widower who will be the head of their household. Fun to watch them adjust.

This is a really good story about a newly married coule and the issues the wife is having with her husbands elderly neighbor. It was certainly funny at times but a little confusing as it seemed to have more than one story going. Hopefully she will write a sequel or two as the story leaves it open for more adventures.

It takes a lot for me not to finish a story and I had a very hard time with this one. I think it would have been better to be several different books instead of one. There was 3 different stories in 1 book. I have read this author before, writing in a different name, and enjoyed it greatly so maybe its just one of those things
