Losing his twin brother was the worst thing that happened in well-known actor Vince Cantrell’s life.  He didn’t think he would ever be able to forgive himself for Lance’s murder since his deranged killer thought he was killing Vince.  Vince decided to escape all the prying eyes of the public and questions he couldn’t answer and went to a secluded cabin that his Dad used to own.  Since the area was remote, and there was a raging blizzard outside, he was positive that no one would find him there, but he was wrong.

When Addy’s car slid off the road in the middle of a blizzard, she spotted lights in the distance and started walking, knowing full well that if she didn’t keep moving she would die.  The person who asked to meet her in the secluded area claimed to have information regarding her twin’s murder.  Addy managed to crawl the last few steps and scratched on the door of the cabin.

Vince was furious when he saw Addy’s press credentials, and thought the pretty reporter deserved a damned good spanking for lying to him about why she was chasing after him.  It wasn’t until her backside was a scalding red and she started sobbing about a twin named Alex that he realized both he and Addy shared the pain of losing a twin.  There was nothing he could do about Lance’s murder, but he could help Addy solve Alex’s murder… provided he could keep the pretty reporter alive long enough to do so.

This was an okay read. The writing is good, but the editing is sloppy (our heroine turns from redhead to brunette and back, among other things). The story IS unlikely, occasionally melodramatic, and the heroine is sometimes not too bright. The spankings are good, but there are far more spanking than other good stuff (sniff).

Good book, murder, mayhem, mysteries, romance and spanking. In other words a family drama. I liked this book.

A great start but way too harsh and unrealistic spankings, to me. I loved the beginning. -CW

3 of my favorite loves in one story. Murder mysteries, spanking and romance.. Couldn't ask for a better book.. So if you love all 3 of those is this a great book that will keep you in suspense

Another fantastic story Vince is so gruff to begin with and spanks Addy before he listens to her. Addy is very stubborn and determined to solve her sisters death which earns her several sore bottoms

After losing his twin brother to a killer who thought he was killing him Vince Cantrell retreated to a cabin away from his life in the acting world and the paparazzi. Addy thought she was meeting someone up at a remote cabin to get information on the death of her twin sister. What she didnt realize is it was a trap and she slid off the road in the middle of a blizzard. She managed to make it to a lone cabin in the woods. Vince immediately thought after finding out Addy was with the press that she was there to harass him and quickly put her over his knee. After finding out that she too had recently lost a twin he felt bad but then he realized she deserved another punishment for risking her life. Addy and Vince then set out to uncover the mystery of what got Addy's twin killed. Turns out high level officials are involved and will the two of them survive what they find out.

I agree that the premise of this story is unlikely. Two people who are each a twin meet unexpectedly after their twin is killed. But, once you get past that, it is a great read. The spankings are severe and everyone they meet believe in spanking as well.

I think that the fact that the series of events in this book are so unlikely makes it a lot of fun. With non-stop action, and lots of spankings for all the brave, foolhardy ladies in the book, this book is a winner.

Romantic novel with a bit of detective story and full of incredible coincidences that make the story enjoyable to read and in one word Unlikely :-)
