Halfway through this story I was reaching for Zoloft. I have only read the previous story about Io so I don’t claim deep knowledge, but I have come to care for this character so her depression and sense of doom was mine. Hall has written so clearly of Io’s pain, sorrow and abandonment that I hurt. While, in the previous story, I had little regard for Xavier, this story gave such insight into his feelings and thoughts that I drastically changed in my feelings for him. I still think he’s an emotional coward who lies to himself, but at least he is now beginning to see things as they are. I actually want him to keep Io for his sake not just for hers. To me this is not a roller coaster but a plunge over the edge. I am looking forward to the next part where, please, the ride swings up and all works out well. This is a story well worth waiting for and I intend to be there when it ends.

I love this book. I love it because the characters are real and expressed in depth. The plot is detailed. Everything is well written and the story holds your attention. This book is part of a series I look forward to reading each book as it is released.

The Author did a great job of transporting me to a different era. The descriptions of the property and the people made you feel like you were in the room. I became attached to Lady Io and what she was experiencing. From her troubled childhood, to the emotions she felt dealing with her mother-in-law and the passion she felt for Xavier. I felt her frustration waiting for Xavier and her strength as she made decisions to protect herself. Her concern for those around her kept me holding my breath page after page, fighting for them and her. This was the first book I have read in the series and it kept my attention and left me wanting more.

I really liked this book, but I have to say the suspense is killing me although, in a good way. This book is loaded with emotion and misunderstandings on everyone's part, along with danger and betrayal. I was wanting to just shake some of the characters and my heart hurt for others. So much has happened and I sincerely hope book five is coming out soon so these things can be resolved. If you haven't read the series, you really should. A word of advice would be to read them in order and enjoy the journey.

Oh my gosh! This book was so amazing and the emotions so strong I cried through most of this book. Some of it is absolutely heartbreaking and for so many terrible things happen to one sweet lady who had already been through so much early in life, and another woman who had every advantage and is so evil I wanted to shake Xavier to make him see how him mother caused death and destruction. This book was an emotional roller coaster. I can hardly wait for the next book. Marie Hall is a gifted writer and I highly recommend this book.

The plot is packed full of emotions, from hurt, confusion, hopelessness, strife, to depression and defeat. How many accidents will befall Io before Xavier opens his eyes to see that his wife is being targeted, and these are not so called accidents but instead assassination attempts? How many people will have to die in neighboring towns before Xavier sees the destruction his Mother has brought about? How many lies and falsehoods before he banishes his Mother and her party? The tale has a large cast of characters, emotional dialog, heart-wrenching scenes, and life and death moments. Marie Hall has taken the readers on an emotional roller coast that must continue on to reach the platform again. Will it bring a happy ending for Io and Xavier or more strife? How many losses can one individual handle before they give up and no longer have the will to live? “Io lost hope. The one thing she’d always claimed as hers. And with the loss of hope by her, Xavier’s own faded.”

Marie Hall is a great author! I had to say this first! This is the fourth book in the Worship series. I'm warning you, this is a tear jerker. I literally sobbed. But, it was so moving, so full of emotion. Xavier tried to understand, but he is just as clueless as he was before. “Io, your concerns are mine. It has been that way from the start.” Unfortunately, Io is finally convinced that he does not want her. Xavier’s mother, Charlotte has succeeded there. In fact, even though he tells everyone that Io is his wife, his people still don't believe him. “Io is my wife,” Xavier screamed. “She is my wife.” But, there is hope at the end. I can't wait for the next book. I hope it comes out soon! I give this 5 stars!
