Rescuing Diana is an entertaining erotic adventure story that blends historical elements with science fiction. Of course the steampunk genre allows for the story to twist history and bend science nearly to their breaking point and the author did a magnificent job of both in this book. Still, the historical references were creative and enjoyable.
fantastic adventure full of passion, sex, romance, and kink. Spanking galore ! Not for the faint of heart. An untamed adventure at sea combined with exploration beyond Earth. Prepare yourself for a wild ride!
This was a wonderfully involved storyline with unexpected twists and turns with Steampunk, Sci-Fi, Paranormal, ménage, female-female sex, lots of well done domestic discipline and hot sex. I loved the mixture of true characters and the author obviously did much research. I enjoyed it immensely.
This is a great steampunk adventure across the planets of Earth, Venus and Mars. During a miscalculated kidnapping, Diana Wells is abducted by an Egyptian Pasha to display in his harem. But she is rescued by the handsome American Captain John Bates whom she met at her brother Herbert's return from abroad. Their adventures continue as Diana stows away on a space craft Herbert, her Uncle professor George and John are setting to the Moon and back. Her misbehaviour earns her a spanking with her promises of obedience. When a meteor send the Moon Car off course the explorers head towards Venus then Mars in theirs efforts to return home safely. However, interaction with each different planets inhabitants certainly brings its surprises!
The aptly named erotic adventure contained a commendable variety of kink as well as a remarkable amount of eroticism and almost continuous use of discipline. However unrealistic, the plot was captivating and the steamy scenes were very descriptive and well done. Fans of the genre will love this book.
I will say that in the genre of Steampunk, Sterling Scott used his artistic liberties to create a unique and interesting story. It takes the reader on a journey from England to outer space in plans of heading to the moon, being caught in a meteor shower, diverted to Venus and then to Mars before heading back to Earth. What was intended as a short journey extends into many months. The inhabitants of Venus were all female and included lesbian scenes then onto Mars witnessing a ménage à trios between a beta male, his wife, and an Alpha male. One thing seemed to rein true whether on earth or at other planets was the use of domestic discipline.
The plot kept me enthralled with so many different elements in this story. One characteristic I always enjoy is when real people and historical facts are incorporated into the story, like Abbas Pasha, Michael Faraday, and Charles Goodyear, to name just a few, along with some mentions of Roman and Greek history.
