A good, entertaining story about 2 sisters who inherit a ranch and have to fight to keep both the ranch, and their individual dreams, alive. I loved Sarah and Diana - they were strong, determined women who weren't afraid to stand up for themselves. I had a more difficult time with the men. Marcus and David were both strong, dominant men and they cared for the women, but I felt that they were both too harsh at times and a few of the punishments were over the top. I loved that the women told them off at some point in the story - I think both men needed to grovel a bit more to get back in their good graces. (Especially David) But overall, a fun, entertaining story with lots of action!
I found this book well written and enjoyable. Two sisters, two brothers, romance, love, intrigue, villains and of course spankings. It has it all. The plot progresses well and is complex enough to maintain interest. Perhaps there will be another book to follow on after this one.
Overall a very enjoyable book that was easy & entertaining to read. I loved that the women were strong & independent. Too often I find in spanking books that the women can be too sappy to be real. If I have any criticism it's that for me, it wrapped up really quickly. The characters went from hating each other to loving each other almost overnight & with very little thought process to get there. But like I said, overall a great read.
This is a read that I like alot about 2 feisty sisters who meet their match despite mahem and miscommunication with to alpha brothers. Spanking and love along with danger and intigue.
This was a really good book! Two sisters start dating two brothers and the fun begins! There were lots of spankings (some I didn't really think were earned) one that they both told their men off (which made me really glad!) and lots of loving and caring. I have read several of Coleen Singer's books and enjoyed all of them! I would have like an epilogue about their life maybe a year or two after they were married. I gave this book 5 stars!
I loved this book! The plot is great with quite a few strong characters that keep you invested. The story is well written and offers danger, suspense, adventure and romance. Fantastic!
Good story. Entertaining throughout. Plenty of mystery and suspense, adventures and misunderstandings. The story line was good. I liked that Sarah and Diana were not silly immature girls but intelligent, independent, determined women who wouldn't give up no matter how hard things got. Marcus and David were also very likable because even though they were bossy dominant men it was because they cared about their respective girls and wanted to keep them safe from harm. The clashing between Diana and David, Sarah and Marcus were a lot of fun.
It Brings a Smile to Your Face as You Read it
I have read a couple of Coleen Singer's books before this one, and they have all been good books. "Woman In Charge" is no exception. Except I think it is by far the best book I have read of hers yet.
This book is full of betrayal that turned out to be a misunderstanding, hurt, love, passion, full of responsibility and proving they could pull up their boot straps and do their share. That they were not helpless, weak Boston pretty girls.
A fantastic book discussing sisters meeting brothers and their adventures together. A fantastic read. Give it a try!
I enjoyed this story that has two budding romances, lots of mystery and suspense, a good bit of angst, two dominant brother ranchers, and two feisty, stubborn sisters. Returning to Austin to the Towns End ranch that was left in the will of John Townsend, Sr. to his nephew has lots of memories especially for Sarah Townsend Whitlock. What a shock to find that her son, Josh, is now to become the owner when he is old enough to assume the responsibilities. Marcus became a man at 16 with the death of his parents and not only runs the Double R ranch but raised his siblings. The story has two relationships that are hot and cold, Marcus and Sarah and David and Diana. The plot kept the pages turning with greed, the good ole boys club, underhanded deals, and stubbornness. The dialog is heartwarming and entertaining. There are several spankings of naughty women, and all justly deserved. The women in this story prove they are strong, independent and capable women.
I loved this book with strong alpha men, brothers, and two young sassy, feisty women clash with their men and get into dangerous situations. This has suspense, danger, mystery, romance and spanking. This was a very well written story and I highly recommend it.
Women In Charge was a wonderful story with strong women willing to completely change their lives to follow their dreams. As Sarah works to make the ranch work, Diana follows her dream of becoming a reporter. When Sarah and Marcus along with Diana and David start to grow closer as couples there is a lot of adjusting to do. These strong willed women have a tendency to clash with their alpha male boyfriends. However, these men will not tolerate any one putting their women in danger including Sarah and Diana themselves. This love story heats up with mystery, danger, love and lots of well deserved spankings. Overall I enjoyed not only the great storyline but the characters as well. I recommend reading and enjoying the well written love story! I would hope for a follow up to their love stories. Way to go!
