PUBLISHER'S NOTE: Starla's Savage used to be titled Starship Christmas. The reason for the retitle is because this book reads more like Swiss Family Robinson than like a starship science-fiction (and doesn't really have anything to do with Christmas). Most of the plot occurs on-planet and focuses on the relationship between Starla and her barbarian mate who's as rough as the world he grew up in. We really hope you enjoy this hot romance full of love, passion and fun!
Earth is dying. Policies to protect the environment were too little, too late, and the recent ice age has further strained already meager resources. A group of scientists propose sending two ships, one carrying enough DNA capsules to hatch one hundred fifty young men to colonize a new world, to plant crops, raise livestock, and dig mines, and ship these much needed materials back to the hungry planet. A second, smaller ship will carry one hundred fifty female capsules to serve as wives and helpmates to the colonists.
But saboteurs undermine their plans. Thieves stole from the ship's food stores before take-off. A virus breaks out on both ships, killing the captains and most of their crews, and they are hurtled off course. The planet they eventually find is not the safe haven they expect.
Imagine one hundred fifty young girls, and only one parent! The hormone inhibitor given to all children until the day of their marriage as part of the zero population growth also keeps them immature. They are spoiled, undisciplined, unruly young women. And now it is up to their husbands to tame them.
Journey with Starla Lelanie in this first story of the Neverland series, as she meets her new husband and explores this strange, new land.
Read the second book in the Neverland Colony Series!

One of my all time favorite stories! I enjoyed the concept of genetically engineered perfect couples that have to help humanity on another planet while just trying to survive themselves. I loved the miscommunication because it brings the strife that I look for to make magic happen.

Wow! What a good story I glad I bought this one.

This was an interesting story with strong science fiction and discipline aspects. I found the justification for the behavior of the natives a little weak but suspending disbelief was easy. This was well written and engaging story - well worth the read!

magnificent, will buy part 2 sometime and hope there are more in the making.

I usually don't like this kind of book. Otherwordly, but this book was very well written. Better, there is a number two waiting for me to read.

I didn't really find this a romantic book, it was very interesting and the all the characters very cute and endearing but there is really no romance until the very end. The claiming of the girls was brutal and frightening, really nothing more than rape for most of them - at least their first times. The ending was really unfinished and I had to buy the second book just to find out what happened to the other couples. I would advise to plan on buying both books just to understand the full story, although even then there is very little that actually feels romantic - the language/culture difference is hard to overcome, as is the maturity level of many of the men.

I found this story very hard to follow. I was always trying to figure out what the make characterless were saying. I found it to take away from the story.

I liked the way the 2 totally different worlds came together and somehow are making it work. I empathized and liked with both main characters which is always good in a story.Hopefully book 2 will go on sale lol so I can get that one as well.

Really great start start to a series that has the potential for so many more sequels to come. It is fun to watch the men try to curb the girls bad behavior as it seems to be a never ending battle. Looking foward to reading more about these couples.

This was a wonderful story about 2 ships one filled with boys the other with girls sent out to make a new colony in order to releive a dying earth Starla is claimed by Leo who has no real language so many problems are encountered and solved, a thoroughly enjoyable read

This is a really good sci-fi/fantasy book with a good romantic angle. There are plenty of spankings to go around considering the girls only start to grow up once they hit the planet. These girls sure do know how to cause trouble. Great start to a series.

I loved this story! Starla and Leo have many obstacles to overcome. In order to survive they can't give up and must face each of these obstacles head on. Leo has been on this planet long enough to know what to do and when, but Starla is new and doesn’t always do as she is told as quickly as is necessary. Leo fixes that head on, too. He is quick to spank and holds nothing back. Starla has to learn that when he says, “do it” she needs to do it without hesitation or it could be all their lives at stake. The dialogue is a little tricky to understand at times. The author is trying to demonstrate the language barrier and though I get the gist of the conversation, I don’t always understand the individual thoughts. Overall, this is a great book. I can’t wait to read the next one.

It was kind of slow in the beginning, but by the end I could not put it down.

This stories opens with a ship full of young women and one old man. The women have been kept young. When the girls are allowed to mature things become even rougher. They end up crash landing and find the men they have been waiting for have had to raise themselves and have a lot to learn. Starla ends up with Leo and while it's rough at first they turn out to be well suited for each other. The men are an interesting mix because they are strong and capable of survival despite having no education. The fantasy element is fun and enhances the story. Can't wait to read the next installment in this series.

The premise for this story is great but it falls short. The first section is very well written and engaging but after the main character lands on the planet things go down hill fast. The dialogue becomes broken and confusing. Though this is part of the plot it is hard to follow. There are parts of the book where rape is implied so if that is not comfortable for you I wouldn't suggest it. In the end I did not end up finishing the book.

This story started out sharply and was riveting, but tended to fall down the further into the story I went. The language barrier was confusing and difficult to understand. I don't think I'll purchase book two.

This story kept me interested, the relationship was nice, the difficulty Starla and Leo had in communicating fustrated me. I would like to see what happened to more of the other girls.

This was a great and unique Sci-Fi spanking story. The first story of this series focused on Starla and Leo. Leo is the epitome of the strong silent type, and when he does speak it is in the language of a small child. This book sets up an interesting dynamic between the men and women stranded on this new planet. Both genders have strengths and weaknesses and in some ways seem more or less mature that the others. While the girls were raised with the benefit of adult supervision (even though it was a single adult) and more of an education, they are more impulsive. The men on the other hand had to create a civilization and communication system without the benefit of adult supervision from a very young age. The women soon find out that these no-nonsense men firmly believe in discipline. In this first book the reader learns most of these things through the relationship of Starla and Leo. By the end of their story we can see a true bond developing. I look forward to learning more of how these two groups learn to live together and the individual stories of each couple.

This is a great fantasy love story. The characters were great, the story riveting. The author's imagination great. I felt like I could 'see' their world as the author was describing it. It was great and I would definitely recommend it.

I loved this book! It was a unique story that did remind me of Swiss Family Robinson (one of childhood favs). I loved the struggle to communicate between the characters but they still loved and cared for each other.

Oh my! Clever, ingenious, and fantastic! Loved it! I have to find book two right now! :)

The imaginative plot, the details in the description of the feelings of the characters, the combination between naughty girls with the brave but wild boys makes the story exciting and enjoyable to read. I am looking forward to the sequel.

I loved this story. Especially learning about how the boys survived and developed their culture after the crash. I want more! Can't wait until the next book is written. Hope Ms. Knight has lots of books so we can learn about all of the characters and their relationships.

I don't normally enjoy the otherworld kind of stories but I really enjoyed this one about men and women sent to a new planet to colonize it. The men arrived forst and almost violently claimed the women when they arrived. Good characters and I'm looking forward to Book Two.
Esther on 06/21/2012 11:25am
This book is wonderful. The author has tackled a story line with numerous characters, and makes a reader fall in love with them all. I truly didn't want this story to end.

A starship with 150 innocent young brats headed for a planet with 150 'lost boy' husbands waiting for them. Sci-Fi and spanking and like any well written SF/fantasy we don't have to suspend belief for it all to seem so real. The interstellar trip can be long but once on the planet the story is fast paced and 'red hot' for our brats. I can't wait for Ms Knight to give us the rest of the required (by prose law) trilogy. Well done.
Shelly on 01/14/2011 10:45pm
I really liked this book, especially once the girls reached the planet. I hope that since this says book one that there will be another book in this series. I would especially like to know what has happened to Lucy and Starla's twin Sky.
